1. Physical Education (D.P.E):

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • D.P.Ed. or B.P.Ed. degree in Physical Education (or its equivalent) obtained from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Or

  • Integrated degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent, obtained from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

2. English:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university, with English as an elective subject and a minimum score of 50%.
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with a minimum overall score of 50% (or equivalent), with English as a teaching subject.
  • A passing score on the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II for the desired position (Masters/Mistresses). Specific details and conditions for the CTET are subject to change and are available from the NCTE website.

3. Fine Arts:

Degree in B.Sc in Home Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks.

4. Hindi:

  • A Graduate or equivalent degree from a recognized university, with Hindi as an elective subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with at least 50% marks in aggregate, or its equivalent, with Hindi as the teaching subject.
  • Have passed the Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II for the post of Masters/Mistresses, adhering to the specific conditions periodically notified by the NCTE.

5. Home Science:

  • A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Home Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks in your studies.
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), with a minimum of 50% marks overall or an equivalent qualification, where Home Science or Domestic Science is your chosen teaching subject.

6. Mathematics:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks, and mathematics must have been one of their elective subjects.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with a minimum of 50% marks overall, with mathematics as the teaching subject, or an equivalent degree.
  • Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper II for the position of Masters/Mistresses, adhering to the specific requirements set forth by the NCTE.

7. Music:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with Music as an elective subject, with a minimum overall score (aggregate) of 50%.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), with a minimum overall score of 50%, and Music as a designated teaching subject.

Or

  • A Bachelor’s degree (any subject) from a recognized university, with a minimum overall score of 50%.
  • A degree in Music from a recognized institute, with a minimum overall score of 50%.

8. Punjabi:

  • Graduate degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university with Punjabi as an elective subject and a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with at least 50% marks overall, or its equivalent, with Punjabi as the teaching subject.
  • Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II for the post of Masters/Mistresses, following the specific conditions notified by the NCTE periodically.

9. Sanskrit:

  • A Graduate degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university with Sanskrit as an elective subject, securing at least 50% marks in the program.
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with at least 50% marks overall, where Sanskrit was the chosen teaching subject.
  • Passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II for the position of Masters/Mistresses, adhering to the specific conditions periodically notified by the NCTE.

10. Science (Medical):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with Science as the teaching subject, and have secured at least 50% marks overall.
  • Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II for the designated teaching position, as per the specific conditions established by the NCTE.

11. Science (Non-Medical):

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), with Science or Mathematics as the teaching subject and a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
  • Pass the CTET Paper-II for the post of master/mistress, following the detailed conditions set by the NCTE.

The pay scale for a Chandigarh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) is ₹9300/- to ₹34800/- (Level-7) with a Grade Pay of ₹4600/-.
